Care Groups

CARE Groups are:

Connected with other people from Calvary.
Accepted by other people.
Renewed and strengthened from other people.
Encouraged to reach other people.

What People Appreciate
About CARE Groups at Calvary:

  • “Getting better acquainted and feeling the support through prayer.”
  • “The openness and interaction, and getting to know people better.”
  • “The honesty—people are not afraid to share their hurts and needs. The support knowing that other Christians are upholding us in prayer.”
  • “Praying regularly for each other.”
  • “Being able to feel comfortable enough to share personal things and feel genuine concern from the group.”
  • “Being able to see God work in our lives.”
  • “Applying scripture to our lives.”
  • “Feeling the love of the Lord and the presence of the Holy Spirit.”
  • “The caring and love for God, the eagerness to serve Him, and to care for each other.
  • “Doing things together for others, like a caring family.”

How Can I Find Time For A CARE Group?

We are all so busy! But a CARE Group takes about an hour to and hour-and-a-half a week, and it will give you life-long and eternal benefits.

Surely a group of close-knit friends is more valuable than a couple of hours of sit-coms or games shows on the ‘ole TV!! After you join a CARE Group, your question will not be “how can I find the time?”, but Why did I wait so long to join a CARE Group?”

HOW Do I Join A CARE Group?

You can; call the office at 296-2711, talk to Pastor Doug Iverson, send an email to calvary@gorge.net, drop off a Communication Card at the Information Booth or one of the wooden boxes in the lobby, or if you know of a group you would like to join—join!! We will help you find the group and night that is “just right” for you!
